Welcome to the 21st Century. Yeah, perhaps we’re a few years late (okay, almost a decade) but we get that students think, interact and communicate differently these days. College is about finding that great place where you will be at home. Glossy viewbooks, lists of majors, and ten gazillion clubs only do so much to help one college stand apart from another. But at CMC, we think we have one more trick up our sleeve: Leadership.
CMCNation is all about student-to-student interaction. Claremont McKenna is a great school. Many of you already get that. But, this is our attempt to help everyone else get it too. The CMC Admission Office has developed CMCNation as a gateway for prospective students to read, interact, observe and talk back to an ever-growing, ever-evolving group of current CMCers. For the record, there isn’t much else out there on the internet like CMCNation. We are working hard to practice what we preach around here. Leadership is about action and the Admission Office is taking on this challenge to give you the most honest, open picture of Claremont McKenna College you will ever get. Everyone will be on here. From the senior class president to the students on study-abroad in Morocco. This website will serve as a gathering place for those on the outside to do more than just ‘look in’ but rather, to get the most realistic, boots-on-the-ground experience that they can via the World Wide Web.
CMCers love their opinions. We plan to feature them all the time. CMCers love their internships. You will hear about that too. And of course, CMCers love their CMC. And you’ll get lots of great insider information about just what makes CMC the amazing place that it really is. This website is unfiltered, intelligent, and ever-changing. So feel free to share, discuss and give feedback. Our promise to you is to always provide honest, thoughtful content driven by CMC students for all those who hope to become CMC students.
