| If so, which countries are common destinations for each of the majors, specifically math? Is study abroad popular? |

As a science major, I know that when looking at other schools it was difficult to study abroad, but at CMC I've got a ton of options. I'm also looking for a hands on feel and CMC approves of what are called SIT programs run by the same group that trains new Peace Corps recruits. These programs tend to be super hands on and do learning in the field for the first 3 months and then an individual research project and large scale paper to finish out the term. The amount of already approved programs (and the ability to bring in a new one and possibly have it approved) makes it so easy to find someplace unique to go that still can fulfill all the requirements you need to graduate. It is also important to keep in mind that you could spend your semester abroad fulfilling general education requirements like literature, psychology, a science, etc and not take any math classes that semester opening up a whole different realm of abroad opportunities.
